Privacy policy: how this website handles information

Scope of this policy

This policy describes the WagerSift publication. It applies to this website, not to operators or services reached through its links. Last updated: 27 September 2026.

Website requests and hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Delivering a page involves technical request information, which may include an IP address, browser information and request details. Cloudflare processes information under its applicable service and privacy practices.

WagerSift does not provide player accounts or on-site submission forms. Hosting security features may have their own processing practices.

When a visit arrives from an AI assistant or answer engine, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Copilot, our server counts it: the assistant’s name, the page opened and the country Cloudflare associates with the request. The count stores no IP address, cookie, browser details or other identifier, and it does not depend on your analytics choice. It tells us which research pages assistants send readers to.

Optional Google Analytics

If you choose Allow analytics, WagerSift loads Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, traffic sources, broad location and device information, and interactions such as scrolling, partner-link clicks and use of the checklist tools. Google receives technical information needed to process those requests. We use the reports to understand which research pages readers use.

Analytics is off until you allow it. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from reading pages or following links. Our configuration keeps advertising consent denied and disables Google signals and advertising personalisation signals. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, account details or payment information to Analytics.

When you allow analytics, Google Analytics can use first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_ identifiers, to distinguish browsers and sessions. Our tag configures a 180-day cookie lifetime, which can refresh with use. Our page-view configuration omits query strings and fragments from page URLs and referrers.

Partner-link measurement

With your analytics permission, selecting a marked partner link records an affiliate_click event containing the brand identifier, the WagerSift page path and the placement of the link, such as a review conclusion or comparison table. We do not put the raw affiliate tracking destination into this event. A click does not tell us that you registered, deposited money or generated revenue.

Partner links use WagerSift /go/ redirects. The redirect works whether you accept or reject WagerSift analytics. External operators and affiliate providers have their own privacy practices and may associate your visit or subsequent activity with a referral. Your WagerSift analytics choice does not set preferences on those external services.

Your analytics choice

Use Analytics settings in the footer to allow analytics, reject it or withdraw an earlier permission. A change applies on this browser; it does not delete data already received by Google. On rejection we disable further Analytics collection for this property and remove accessible _ga cookies on the WagerSift domain.

We store your choice in local browser storage under wagersift-analytics-consent-v1 for up to 180 days. This preference record is used to remember the choice, not to identify a visitor. Clearing browser storage resets it. If storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page only. If JavaScript is disabled, our Analytics script does not run.

Information you choose to send

You can contact us at contact@wagersift.com. Messages to this address are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox hosted by Google. Information you send may be used to respond to an enquiry or assess a correction. Do not send identity documents, account passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
