The short answer
How do you check an Anjouan casino licence?
Click the seal: it must open the casino’s verification page in Anjouan Gaming’s public register. Check the domain, the licence holder and above all the expiry date, because on 3 October 2026 all 1,539 register entries read “valid”, 344 of them past their expiry date. Then search the suspended and revoked lists, which are kept apart from the main register.

Anjouan Gaming’s licence seal policy, read on , says a licensed operator’s seal must link directly to its verification page in the authority’s public register and be shown site-wide without changes to its design, code or link. It must be removed as soon as the licence is suspended, revoked or expires, and must not be used on a domain the licence does not cover.
A licence certificate carries the licence number and a QR code that leads to the same verification page, which shows the licensee’s name, the licence number, its status, the approved domains and the validity period. The authority’s verification framework says a certificate that cannot be verified through the public register should not be relied on, because copies can be outdated or altered.
Read the expiry date, not just the status
The authority’s status definitions name four statuses: Active, Suspended, Revoked and Expired. Expired means the validity period ended without renewal, and only an Active licence authorises gaming. The register’s data uses none of those words: on 3 October 2026 every one of its 1,539 entries read “valid”, 344 of them with an expiry date that had already passed, and none read “Expired”.
So read the expiry date beside the status. If it has passed, ask the operator in writing for its current licence. The register’s disclaimer says it is updated periodically, may not reflect recent changes and that time-sensitive checks should go to the authority directly. Our Anjouan register data shows how long ago the passed dates fell and how the entries changed between two snapshots.
Check the suspended and revoked lists
The authority keeps suspended and revoked licences on separate pages. On 4 October 2026, the suspended list held one licence, a business-to-business one suspended on 8 September 2026 for breaching its licence conditions and failing to take part in dispute resolution, and the revoked list held two, revoked in June and July 2026 for fraud and for illegal sublicensing. None of those three licences appeared in the main register’s data.
The authority says revocation is permanent and that a revoked licence’s websites are blocked from any other licence. If a casino’s licence number is on either list, or cannot be found in the register at all, do not rely on its seal.
Compare the domain and the company
The register lists the domains each licence holder has notified. Its disclaimer says a listed domain only shows that it was notified to the authority, not that the licence holder owns it, and that a register entry is not an endorsement. Check that the domain in your address bar is on the entry, and that the company in the casino’s terms is the licence holder.
Both Anjouan-licensed casinos we review show why. On 3 October 2026, slotsvader.com was on the entry of Fionex Holding LTD, licence ALSI-202409044-FI2, whose expiry date of 22 September 2026 had passed, while Slots Vader’s terms name another company, Ramtinar Techconsult Limited. Rivo’s entry, under Exceptiosoft LTD, ran until 11 June 2027, but its terms say only that “The Company is licensed.” Our Slots Vader review and Rivo review set out both records.
What an Anjouan licence covers
Anjouan Gaming issues two kinds of internet gaming licence, according to its licence types page: business-to-consumer (B2C) licences for operators that offer gaming directly to players, and business-to-business (B2B) licences for companies that supply platforms, software or technical services to them. Permitted activities include online casinos, sports betting, poker and bingo, prediction markets and blockchain-based and cryptocurrency gaming, with each licence’s conditions deciding what it covers. Like any offshore licence, it says nothing about whether a casino may serve players in your country; that depends on your local law.
A complaint goes to the operator first, through the licence validator page its seal opens. The authority’s dispute-resolution page says operators should resolve it within 30 days, after which an unresolved complaint can go to an approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider at the operator’s cost. On 4 October 2026 it listed four approved providers: EGIS ADR, Axion ADR, iGaming ADR and CADRE B.V. Our guide to complaining about an online casino covers the deadlines.

Frequently asked questions
How do I check an Anjouan casino seal?
Click it: the seal must open the casino’s own verification page in Anjouan Gaming’s public register. Check that the page shows the domain you are on, the licence holder, the status and the validity period, and that the expiry date has not passed. Do not rely on a seal that opens anything else.
Link to this answerWhat does “Expired” mean for an Anjouan licence?
The authority defines it as a licence whose validity period ended without renewal, so its former holder may no longer offer gaming. The register’s data did not use the word on 3 October 2026: all 1,539 entries read “valid”, 344 of them past their expiry date.

Link to this answerWhere can I see suspended or revoked Anjouan licences?
On two separate pages of the authority’s site, not in the main register. On 4 October 2026 the suspended list held one licence and the revoked list two, revoked for fraud and for illegal sublicensing. Search both for the casino’s licence number before relying on its seal.

Link to this answerDoes an Anjouan licence cover sports betting and crypto casinos?
It can. Anjouan Gaming lists online casinos, sports betting, poker and bingo, prediction markets and blockchain-based and cryptocurrency gaming among permitted activities, with each licence’s conditions deciding what it covers. Licences for sites that serve players are business-to-consumer; business-to-business licences are for their suppliers.

- Research basis
- Anjouan Gaming’s seal policy, certificate verification framework, status definitions, registry disclaimer, licence types, suspended and revoked lists and list of approved dispute-resolution providers, read on 4 October 2026, and its register data saved on 27 September 2026 and 3 October 2026.
- What this does not establish
- The register and its lists record what the authority publishes; they do not show how an operator treats players or whether it may serve your country. We have not asked the authority about any entry, and no account was opened.
