The short answer
What should you check when a casino withdrawal has not arrived?
Identify the last confirmed event: request, account review, payment release or receipt. Ask for the outstanding condition if still under review, or the method and traceable payment reference if reportedly sent. Keep operator and bank records together before escalating through a route that covers the account.
Read the evidence and limitations ↓Start with the last confirmed event
A withdrawal can involve an account decision and a separate payment journey. A pending withdrawal is one the operator has recorded but not yet shown as paid. “Pending”, “processing” and “approved” are labels to clarify with the operator, not a common set of definitions across all casinos. Keep the exact wording and its timestamp before asking for an update.
- Request recorded: save the withdrawal ID, amount, currency and requested method.
- Review explained: identify the outstanding condition and whether action is needed from you or the operator.
- Payment released: obtain release details that can be checked with the payment provider.
- Funds received: reconcile the credit in the receiving account with the original request.
These checkpoints organise evidence; they do not prove why an individual payment is delayed. Verification approval belongs to the account review, so keep it separate from confirmation that money was sent. For document questions, use the casino verification guide.
Approved but not received: ask for the payment record
Ask the operator to distinguish internal approval from release to a payment processor. If it says the payment was sent, request the sending date, method, amount, currency, destination identifier and available provider reference. Keep full account details private; a masked identifier may be enough to check that the intended destination matches.
A casino withdrawal ID helps support find the request inside its system. It is not automatically a reference that a bank can trace. If support supplies the same request ID again, ask whether it identifies a payment outside the casino and which provider can use it.
Compare the release details with your receiving account through its verified app or website. If the bank cannot locate the transfer, retain that reply and ask the operator or sending provider to investigate the missing link. Do not describe an unsupported “sent” claim as a confirmed bank failure.
To turn the status and records you have into a focused support message, use the withdrawal enquiry builder. It does not access an account, trace a payment or estimate an arrival date.
Which payment reference should you request?
A payment reference is the identifier a bank, card network or wallet gives a transfer so that it can be traced, such as an Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) for a card refund. The right evidence depends on how the money was sent. The following provider examples explain the distinction; they do not confirm that any WagerSift brand uses these services.
Bank transfer: confirmation and trace details
Revolut’s UK receiving guidance says it cannot see transfers that have not reached it. After the applicable arrival window, it directs investigation towards the sending bank and its partners; for transfers over SWIFT, the international bank-messaging network, it identifies a GPI (global payments innovation) tracker or trace. This is Revolut’s process, not a universal bank procedure or a casino payout promise. Follow your own provider’s instructions for the actual transfer type.
Card refund: ARN, STAN or RRN where supported
Stripe’s card-refund guidance describes an Acquirer Reference Number (ARN), System Trace Audit Number (STAN) or Retrieval Reference Number (RRN) depending on the transaction and network. Not every reference is available. First establish whether the payment really is a card refund: a casino withdrawal may use a different mechanism. Some operators’ terms make it one on purpose: TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader may pay a credit-card-funded withdrawal back as a refund of your deposits, up to the total deposited (clause 10.3). Do not insist on an ARN for a bank transfer or assume the casino uses Stripe.
Interac e-Transfer: the financial institution
Interac explains that it carries messages between financial institutions and does not hold customer funds. Its guidance directs e-Transfer troubleshooting to the financial institution. Our Canada withdrawal guide covers transfer notifications, receiving-account checks and provincial complaint context.
For another route, ask the relevant provider what identifies the payment and what it needs to investigate. A wallet transaction ID, casino case number and bank reference should not be treated as interchangeable.
How long is too long for a pending withdrawal?
A pending withdrawal is too long once the period the operator itself stated has passed without an explanation; there is no universal deadline. Record two separate periods: the operator’s stated review period and, only after release, the payment provider’s expected delivery window. Ask what starts each period, which time zone applies and whether it counts calendar or business days. Keep the dated policy or written explanation instead of relying on a headline such as “fast withdrawals”.
Some operators publish a period to point to. Wintino and AquaSpins aim to handle requests within 3 business days once checks are complete (clause 6.15), and Rivo typically within three banking days (clause 6.6); TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader give weekday working hours but no number of days (clause 9.2). Each is the operator’s own statement, read on the dates given in the clause list below.
When a stated period has passed, point to that particular commitment and ask for the current stage, outstanding item and next update. If a new check is introduced, ask how it affects the previous estimate. An estimate is not evidence that a transfer has occurred, and this guide cannot determine whether a delay breaches the terms of your account.
Do not adopt another casino’s timetable, a forum report or a complaint deadline as your expected payout time. For euro transfers in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), continue to the Ireland withdrawal guide.
Once the money is sent: how long each payment route allows
The provider’s clock starts only when the operator releases the payment. These are the times providers publish, read on :
- Standard SEPA bank transfer: it must reach your bank within one banking business day.
- SEPA instant transfer: ten seconds at most, at any hour of any day.
- Visa card: posted within two business days, or the same business day within Visa’s Europe region.
- Interac e-Transfer: up to 30 minutes, depending on your bank.
- Skrill or Neteller: most merchant transfers arrive at once; moving the money on to a bank takes up to five business days.
- Trustly: a few minutes, or one or two bank days at some banks.
Once that time has passed since the release date, take the release details to the receiving provider. The payment-methods comparison gives each provider’s source and fees.
Clauses that can keep a withdrawal pending
A delay may trace back to a clause in the operator’s own terms, so look for one and quote its number when you ask for an update. These examples come from seven operators’ general terms, read on (PlayBaze, Wintino and AquaSpins) and (TuffPuff, Winshark, Slots Vader and Rivo). They show what to look for, not how any of these operators handles a particular account.
- Documents outstanding. Wintino and AquaSpins allow 30 days to supply requested documents, may withhold payment until they arrive and usually verify within 10 days of a complete answer (clause 5.3). TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader also allow 30 calendar days but then confiscate winnings and close the account (clauses 2.5 and 2.6.1), and Slots Vader pays nothing at all until verification is complete. PlayBaze may ask for photo ID, address confirmation, a selfie or a verification call before any withdrawal (clause 8.3); Rivo runs a full check on any withdrawal, usually within 48 hours (clauses 8.5 and 8.6).
- A processing queue. Wintino and AquaSpins work through requests within 3 business days, counted from the request or from the previous payout, once all checks are complete; their finance staff work from 6 am to 5 pm GMT on weekdays (clause 6.15). TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader process requests Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 (GMT+3), without a number of days (clause 9.2); Rivo typically within three banking days (clause 6.6).
- A cap on pending requests. Wintino, AquaSpins, TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader allow no more than 3 pending withdrawals at once (clauses 6.13 and 9.2). Rivo allows one pending withdrawal per payment method and one request every 24 hours, depending on the method (clause 6.11). Our withdrawal limits guide compares these caps.
- A daily or monthly cap. PlayBaze allows EUR 10,000 a month, or EUR 5,000 once the balance is at least 10 times total deposits (clause 8.6). At the lowest account level, Wintino and AquaSpins allow EUR 500 a day and EUR 7,000 a month (clause 6.11), and TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader EUR 500 a day and EUR 10,000 a month (clause 9.2). Rivo allows EUR 1,000 a day and EUR 10,000 a month (clause 6.13).
- A deposit that was not wagered enough. PlayBaze may deduct 8%, at least EUR 4, from a deposit never wagered (clause 8.2). Wintino and AquaSpins may cancel the winnings and keep 10% of the last deposit, or 15% after a card or bank-transfer deposit (clause 6.8). TuffPuff and Winshark withhold up to 10% of the withdrawal until bets reach three times the deposit, and Slots Vader up to 15% (clause 9.3); Rivo may refuse a withdrawal while bets are below the last deposit (clause 6.5).
- A break or self-exclusion. At TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader, turning on “Take a break” cancels any pending withdrawal and returns the money to the casino balance; it can be requested again when the break ends (clause 4.4). At Rivo, no withdrawals are possible during self-exclusion (clause 12.3.1). Take the protection you need anyway, then request the withdrawal again; our guide to breaks, self-exclusion and pending withdrawals covers all seven operators.
- A different payout method. PlayBaze pays withdrawals to the method used to deposit; any other method is at its discretion and subject to further checks (clause 8.4). TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader may return a credit-card-funded withdrawal to the card as a refund of the deposits, up to the total deposited (clause 10.3).

Rejected, cancelled or returned: follow the balance
If the original card expired or the receiving account closed, use the expired-card and replacement-method checks to establish the transaction type and destination before trying another request.
A request can also be cancelled by your own account settings. At TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader, turning on “Take a break” cancels a pending withdrawal and returns the money to the casino balance (clause 4.4); request it again when the break ends rather than treating the cancellation as a refusal.
Preserve the original request before making another. Ask who changed its status, the reason and the applicable condition. Then compare withdrawal history, the casino balance ledger and the receiving account. An amount restored to the casino balance has not necessarily been paid to you.
If a released transfer was reportedly returned, request both the original release reference and the return record. Keep any documented conversion or fee separate from an unexplained shortfall. Ask whether a replacement request exists so that one payment is not counted twice.
Illustrative reconciliation: a request for 100 units and a receipt of 60 in the same currency leaves 40 to explain. Record whether that remainder is still pending, internally credited or subject to a documented adjustment. The example is arithmetic, not a claim about a casino’s limits, fees or instalment policy.
What British and Irish licensees must do about withdrawals
If a regulator in Great Britain or Ireland licenses the operator, some delays break a rule rather than a promise. Check which regulator licenses your operator first: these rules do not bind an operator licensed elsewhere, such as in Curaçao or Anjouan.
- Great Britain, identity checks: Gambling Commission licensees must verify your identity before you gamble, and a withdrawal request must not trigger a demand for information they could reasonably have requested earlier (licence condition 17.1.1).
- Great Britain, cancelling a withdrawal: since 31 October 2021, licensees must not give you the option to cancel a withdrawal request, and should not offer to let you deposit the funds you have asked to withdraw (remote technical standard 14B).
- Ireland, paying winnings: since 5 February 2026, a licensee of the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) must not unreasonably withhold payment of winnings (section 155 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024). On 27 September 2026, GRAI’s licences covered betting only, from 1 July 2026.
- Ireland, complaints: anyone can complain to GRAI that a licensee broke one of its obligations, normally within 12 months (section 180). Disputes about an individual account still go to the operator first.

Write a complaint that identifies what is missing
Keep a short chronology: request, status changes, document acknowledgements, claimed release and receiving-account checks. Attach only relevant records through the verified complaint channel; redact unrelated information where the recipient permits it. Never include passwords or card security codes, and do not send account records to WagerSift.
Please treat this as a formal complaint about withdrawal [reference], requested on [date] for [amount and currency]. The last confirmed event is [event]. Your reply on [date] states [status], but [specific evidence or amount] remains missing. Please explain the current stage and applicable condition. If payment was released, provide the method, release details and traceable reference. Please confirm my complaint reference, response timetable and the relevant external dispute route if unresolved.
Adapt the template to what actually happened. State the resolution you seek, such as an explanation and reconciliation of the unpaid amount. Keep the acknowledgement and final response together. A complaint reference shows that a case exists; it does not establish that payment will follow.
Check the complaint body before escalating
Our guide to how to complain about an online casino compares the seven operators’ complaint routes and deadlines side by side.
Identify the contracting operator, exact domain and authority relevant to the account. Check that an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body accepts that operator and issue; a logo or a review-site comment is not a confirmed referral route.
As a jurisdiction-specific example, the Gambling Commission’s Great Britain guidance requires its licensed operators to offer ADR for unresolved disputes after eight weeks, or earlier when the internal process reaches its end. That period concerns complaint handling, not withdrawal delivery, and is not a worldwide waiting rule. The Commission also explains that it does not decide individual gambling-transaction complaints.
The Curaçao and Anjouan regulators, which issued the licence records we found for 5 of the 7 brands we review, set out different routes. The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) says it does not handle individual complaints against gaming providers and cannot order compensation, though it accepts complaints by email as possible evidence that an operator broke the law. Anjouan Gaming says it does not handle, mediate or adjudicate player complaints: you complain through the interactive seal on the operator’s website, within 30 calendar days for account disputes such as payments. The operator then has 30 calendar days to respond, after which you may take the complaint to an approved ADR provider, at the operator’s cost. Both pages were read on . An operator’s own terms can set a shorter window: Rivo’s, read on , ask for complaints by email to complaints@rivo.casino within 7 calendar days of the incident, or one calendar month for payout issues, so complain early to stay inside both.
Use the Ireland or Canada guides linked above for their distinct regulatory context. No source here establishes that a WagerSift partner falls under the British procedure. A complaint to a regulator, an ADR case and a payment trace are different processes, with no recovery guarantee.
Do not pay an unsolicited “recovery agent” or make another deposit to unlock a balance. If the dispute is drawing you back into gambling, pause and use our responsible gambling resources.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my casino withdrawal approved but not received?
Because approval may be an internal decision rather than a payment already sent. Ask which it means, then obtain the method, release date and provider reference if funds were sent. Compare those details with the receiving account before deciding which party needs to investigate.

Link to this answerHow long should I wait for a pending casino withdrawal?
There is no universal deadline: use the operator’s stated review period for your request, counted from its starting event. Obtain that period and any outstanding condition. If a transfer has been sent, check the separate payment-provider timeframe. Ask for an explanation when the relevant stated period has passed; do not substitute an advertised fastest time.
Link to this answerCan I ask for an ARN for every casino withdrawal?
No. ARN is a card-transaction reference discussed in the linked refund guidance. Its availability depends on the payment route and network. A bank transfer or e-wallet payment may need different evidence; ask which traceable reference applies to the actual transaction.
Choose the right payment reference →
Link to this answerHow long does a casino withdrawal take once it has been sent?
It depends on the payment route: a standard euro bank transfer must reach your bank within one banking business day, a SEPA instant transfer within ten seconds, and a Visa card payout must be posted within two business days, or the same business day within Visa’s Europe region. The operator’s own review comes before any of these.
Link to this answerShould I cancel and resubmit a pending withdrawal?
Not as a way to speed it up. Ask first what cancelling would do to the request and the balance; in Great Britain, licensed operators may not offer the option at all. Some terms cancel a request for you: at TuffPuff, Winshark and Slots Vader, turning on a break does. Keep the original reference and do not deposit or gamble to release the money.
Reconcile a cancelled or returned request →
Link to this answerCan the Curaçao Gaming Authority get my withdrawal paid?
No. The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) says it does not handle individual complaints against gaming providers, cannot mediate and cannot order an operator to compensate a player. It does accept complaints by email as possible evidence that an operator broke the law.

- Research basis
- Payment-provider reference guidance and Gambling Commission complaint pages checked on 23 September 2026. Provider delivery times, three operators’ general terms, and the British, Irish, Curaçao and Anjouan rules were read on 27 September 2026, and four more operators’ terms on 3 October 2026. The chronology, reconciliation example and complaint template are original editorial aids, not account testing.
- What this does not establish
- No brand-specific delay cause, payment support, payout time or recovery guarantee is established; the clause examples show published terms, not how any account was handled. Provider instructions and each regulator’s rules keep their stated scope.
