The short answer
How do PlayBaze and Winshark differ when money is returned?
On an unplayed deposit, PlayBaze’s terms allow an 8% fee, at least EUR 4, if the deposit has not been wagered once (clause 8.2); Winshark’s refuse to pay out a deposit never played and allow up to 10% to be withheld until bets reach three times the deposit (clauses 8.7 and 9.3). Neither shows which brand is cheaper or faster.

This comparison of PlayBaze and Winshark uses supplied country lists. PlayBaze supplied no launch date, and Winshark’s declared launch is supplier-reported and not independently verified. A deposit-return charge is different from a payout delay
For an unused deposit, the question is what can be returned and at what cost. PlayBaze charges only if the deposit was never wagered; Winshark will not pay out a deposit never played at all, and its deduction applies until bets reach three times the deposit. For a large withdrawal, the limits matter more: at levels 1–10 Winshark pays out at most EUR 500 a day, so a large balance can arrive in instalments, while PlayBaze’s terms set a monthly limit of EUR 10,000, or EUR 5,000 once the balance reaches 10 times total deposits (clause 8.6).
PlayBaze — published condition. General Terms clause 8.2, checked on 23 September 2026, says no withdrawal commission applies after the deposit has been wagered at least once. Otherwise it reserves an 8% deduction, with a minimum of EUR 4 or the account-currency equivalent. We have not tested a charge or established its calculation base. The KYC policy’s different domain reference also remains unresolved. PlayBaze clause context and official source →
Winshark — a historical case and the current limits. In the published AskGamblers case concerning December 2024 transactions, the player confirmed that instalments had started arriving while further payments remained. The complaint was then closed as resolved. Winshark’s terms, read on 3 October 2026, do not mention instalments, but at levels 1–10 they cap withdrawals at EUR 500 a day. Two questions to take to the current terms
- For PlayBaze, establish which balance the deduction applies to, how the minimum is calculated and which return method is available. Do not gamble more to avoid a charge.
- For Winshark, ask which account level applies before depositing a large amount and, if a withdrawal is paid in parts, ask for the schedule and the remaining balance.

Who each profile may help
Researching PlayBaze
PlayBaze's supplied list is a starting point for readers in Czechia, Slovakia, Romania who want to investigate countries absent from Winshark's supplied list. That is a difference in declarations, not an endorsement.

Winshark's supplied list includes Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, Serbia, New Zealand that do not appear on PlayBaze's list. If your country appears in both, the lists alone cannot establish which operator is suitable.
PlayBaze restrictions and source context

What this comparison cannot decide
This page cannot show what an unplayed-deposit charge would cost you at PlayBaze or Winshark in practice, or whether either will accept your account. Before choosing either, work through the checks that apply to every comparison: eligibility, withdrawal terms, account controls and a record of the terms.
Our conclusion
Both operators publish conditions on unplayed deposits, and they work differently: a one-off fee at PlayBaze, a refusal and a betting-volume deduction at Winshark. Winshark’s daily limit can stretch a large withdrawal over days. These records cannot establish which brand is cheaper or faster, and neither resolves Irish authorisation.
Use the market differences to narrow your research, then read the individual PlayBaze review and Winshark review. If essential information remains unclear, waiting—or choosing not to gamble—is a reasonable decision.
